 If there is one thing that I’ve learn through this crazy life is that lessens repeat themselves ... until we learn from them! A few years back, at the age of 34ish, I was feeling quite empty about the course of my career and just life in general. It literally bugged me for years. I didn’t find much success in my career at the time despite how hard I hustled. But sitting in a coffee shop one day with James, it hit me. I was doing life all wrong. I needed to work with women and help them elevate their health (it’s morphed since then). It was literally a snack in the face like “duhhhhh”. . The thing is, when we’re hustling through life and in our jobs, we often don’t see the lessons that show up. And when we don’t see the lessons, how do we grow? How do we evolve? I would hate that for you. . Instead, before the hustle of the day begins (because, let’s face it, life is cray cray) wake up a few extra minutes early and sit. Sit and listen. Sit and pray. Sit and say 3 things that you’re grateful for. Sit and say 3 things that you love about yourself and your life as it is. . When you’re connected and in flow with you, you hear the lessons and messages. First, they may start as whispers until one day, it smacks you in the face like it did for me. . Where can you fit in a extra few minutes for a practice like this? Growing up in the country, I was always connected to nature. There was no ipads, Netflix or wifi when I was growing up, so I was outside. . Nowadays If I need to figure shit out, I get outside. If I need to ground myself cuz someone pissed me off, I get outside. The earth is powerful and it’s not to be taken for granted. . My last trip to #Bali showed me how expansive this world is and I want to see more of it, you know? So recycle, conserve water as much as you can, use natural cleaning products, and pick up after yourself! Littering seriously pisses me off.
