Recently on the blog, I’ve been talking about some of the hormonal imbalances I have been dealing with recently.  Here’s the thing:  hormonal imbalances and even symptoms of PMS (which are a result of hormonal imbalances) are an indicator that something is just not right.  What is also important to note, these symptoms, if not rectified now, could lead to issues later on in life.  For example, extreme symptoms of menopause.

These bites are a perfect pre/post workout snack.  But, there especially intended to help target hormonal imbalances with the addition of raw cacao and maca. The plant based proteins in these nuggets are also a welcome addition.

Goji Hazelnut Cacao Protein Bites

Ingredients:
1 cup of raw hazelnuts
8 dates
4 tablespoons of raw cacao
4 tablespoons of goji berries
3 tablespoons of coconut oil
1 tablespoon of maca
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Process all ingredients.  Chill for 15 minutes.  Roll into balls.
These must be refrigerated but they can also be frozen.
