Seasonal Winter Milk

Sunflower seeds are a nutritional power house. They contain selenium which controls cell damage.  Vitamin E wards off free radicals (the bad guys!) and keeps your skin healthy. Magnesium supports healthy bones. And, sunflower seeds has anti-inflammatory properties which will help with joint pain.

Ingredients
  • 1 C Sunflower Seeds, soaked overnight and rinsed
  • 2 C Filtered Water
  • 1 t Cinnamon (optional)
  • ⅓ t Nutmeg (optional)
  • ⅓ t Cardamon (optional)
  • 1 T of Maple syrup (optional)
  • *for plain milk, omit all spices
Instructions
  1. For thick milk, blend for two minutes and serve
  2. For a milk consistency, blend seeds and water for two minutes.
  3. Filter through a nut bag or new/clean stocking.
  4. Return milk to blender, add spices and sweetener and blend again.
  5. Pour into glass containers. The milk will separate so just shake before using.
