You may have heard of the Vancouver local breakfast cereal called Holy Crap. It’s great, but it is not inexpensive. Below is my version which is vegan, gluten free, high in protein, fiber, and omega’s.
I like to mix this with my So Delicious Coconut Yogurt or a bit of almond/coconut milk. You only need two tablespoons as it is extremely high in fibre. Let it sit for a few minutes, and eat away.
1/3 cup of chia seeds
1/3 cup of hemp seeds
1/2 cup of raw buckwheat groats, toasted
1/2 cup of air-puffed quinoa (optional)
1/3 cup of raw cashews, toasted (or nut of choice)
1/3 cup of raisins
1/3 cup of chopped dates
2 tsp of cinnamon
1) In a pre-heated oven at 325 degrees, toast the buckwheat and cashews for 10-12 minutes ensuring that the cashews do not burn.
2) After the cooling, mix all ingredients together and store in a tightly sealed container.
