Roasted Apple Sauce with Maple Syrup & Flax

Praoy.e Alln. Oagj. One of my favourite fall/winter snacks is homemade apple sauce.   My signature trick is to roast them so that the natural sugars come out and they caramelize. Yummers! But, what happens when you add a little special secret ingredient that adds fibre, protein, prebiotics and probiotics that aid in digestion? Roasted Apple Sauce with Maple Syrup and Flax

Serves: 2-3
  • 6 - 8 peeled and cubed apples
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • ⅓ t cardamon (optional)
  • ⅓ ground ginger (optional)
  • ⅓ nutmeg
  • 1 T maple syrup
  • juice of one lemon
  • 2 Tablespoon North Coast Naturals Daily Cleanse or Ground Flax
  1. Place apples in baking dish and roast (covered) in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes
  2. Place in high speed blender with all ingredients and blend until smooth
