Raspberry & Lime Chia Fresca

I woke up this morning with a sore throat and somehow, I gained a fever overnight. Not a good situation and I ended up taking the day off work which hadn’t happened in forever! It became apparent to me that the past couple of weeks were taxing on my body – I had some big changes at work, spreading myself too thin, and so on. You know, normal everyday stuff, right?

Why Every Career Woman NEEDS This Supplement

Am I being dramatic here? Well, let me explain here…

Back in 2010, when my health was at it’s worst, I didn’t know what to do.  I was living a very high stress lifestyle. Although I moderately ate my best and my body was craving a more vegetarian eating lifestyle, the stress I was experiencing superseded it all.  I was working a minimum of 12 hour days, during an Olympic project that was beyond cray-cray. Trying to manage the level of work was near impossible.

The #1 Reason Why You May Be Struggling To Lose Weight

I often work with women or listen to women who are struggling with losing weight. “I’ve been working out every day and yet I can’t lose those last 5 pounds”.  Or, “I eat so healthy! I’m paleo – I’m vegan – I’m macrobiotic! And, still, I can’t lose it”.

5 Signs That You May Be Headed To Burn-Out

I’m a Human Resources Manager with a large hotel (within a large chain) in Vancouver BC. It’s a great place to work actually – great people, ever-changing, and not without it’s set of challenges like any job. This job actually keeps me connected with the women that I work with – career-driven women!  I value that connection and I can honestly say that I truly understand the challenges.

5 Natural Solutions To Help Support Restlessness & Sleep

FullSizeRender

You may have noticed that I talk about anxiety and sleep on this site.  A few years ago I spoke with Dr. Divi Chandna, a physician of mind-body medicine about both depression and anxiety.  It was pretty profound.  I even talk about it in my intro video to EatLifeBalance.com where my stressful corporate job and an unbalanced lifestyle led me to anxiety issues. And, over this summer, I wrote a post on the 10 Ways To Upgrade Your Sleep – these are my essential must have’s for the healthiest zzzz’s.

My Struggle with Adrenal Fatigue + Low Cortisol {Part 1}

Pasco Post

I am writing this post from my parent’s dining room table surrounded by my family. It’s Christmas and I am in a happy place as I haven’t been home for the holidays for 18 years!

I’m calm. I’m sleeping well despite the time change. My energy is good.

Products I Love: Wholy Tea (detox + cleanse)

Print

I’ve seen a lot of teas out there that say that they can make you “skinny”, leaner, lose weight, etc.  And, honestly, I never actually bought into the gimmick of it.  Any nutritionist will tell you that weight loss has much to do with balance in your food, exercise and lifestyle.  If those don’t work, then we look at potential imbalances in the body. That’s it. That’s the recipe. Wholy Tea is a whole different ball game.  I actually started with the Detox & Cleanse version as the timing of it was perfect – two week’s before Christmas.
