I was on a road trip with my husband last week. Our original plan this week was for me to work half of the week and then run up to Whistler for the remainder to celebrate my 4 year wedding anniversary with James. But, things quickly changed as my Mother-in-law was suddenly hospitalized and we spent a few touch and go days. Thankfully, she is slowly recovering and all is good.
You know that about 5 years ago I made some significant lifestyle and diet changes in my life. This was in response to the extreme anxiety that I was dealing with. At the time, I thought it was my high-stress job (and it certainly was). But it was also connected to my diet. So, I educated myself and made some significant changes to start the repair process and I succeeded.
It was during that time that I also learned about how everyday products that we use in our home can affect our health. The chemicals in many of these products that the ability to affect our endocrine system. Today, I am so passionate about non-toxic skin care. I am so delighted to have Lisa Mattan, Founder of Sahajan Organic Skin Care to talk about:
– the importance of non-toxic skin care;
– the popularity of ayuvedic principles and plant-food for skin;
– the best foods for your skin;
– and, a little personal look inside Lisa’s entrepreneurial life.
What in the world did we do before apps on our phones? There are both good and bad elements to apps but in this post, it’s all goodness. No video games to distract you, just pure simple blissful goodness.
Today, I wanted to share with you our favourite wellness apps that I use on a somewhat regular basis depending on what I need at the time. For example, jazzing up my meditations, amping up my gym workouts or just simple (but get to the core) conversation starters. Most of these are free and the couple of paid versions are all under $5 (all available on iTunes but also available on other applications)
I love coffee. I really, REALLY do. Now, I’m not a 2-3 cup a day coffee drinker but I have one cup of joe a day. And, if you live in West Vancouver like I do, you’ll find me on the weekends at a local coffee shop with my honey, sipping away working on this website.
