As a holistic nutritionist in training, it is so important for me to provide information and products to my clients and to the readers of EatLifeBalance.com.  I have been using essential oils for years but when I was introduced to doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade quality of oils, I began to understand that there is a difference in the quality of oils out there on the market.

In fact, many of the scented products that you use in your own home likely contain essential oils such as shampoo, conditioners, creams, etc.  But, not all essential oils are created equal.

Only less than 1% of the world’s essential oils are considered Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade – the purest form and quality of essential oils you can find. dōTERRA CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils represent the safest, purest, and most beneficial essential oils available today!

doTERRA Essential Oils, along with their supplements and face care line, are changing the way we look at health care.  You will soon see that essential oils are not just for bath time!

Here are the Top 3 Uses of Essential Oils and some of the many ways I use them:

~ Aromatically

Aromatherapy is founded on the body’s predictable response to specific olfactory stimuli and essential oils are widely used. Certain essential oils, when diffused in the air, can be very stimulating, while others can be calming and soothing. Diffusing essential oils can actually purify air of unwanted odors and some airborne pathogens. Our favourite ways to infuse essential oils is in our laundry and surface cleaners as they are both cleansing, purifying and non-toxic.  We also love to use essential oils as part of our nightly self-care routine – baths!

~ Topically

Due to their natural composition, essential oils are easily absorbed by the skin and can be safely applied topically. Application of essential oils can have immediate benefits to the area you are targeting. They have restorative and calming properties and can be used effectively with massage and beauty therapy. They are also natural disinfectants. The chemical structure of essential oils also allows them to be absorbed into the bloodstream via the skin for internal benefit throughout the body. Our favourite ways to use essential oils in this manner are in shampoo, body washes, bath salts, deodorants, toothpaste, body cream and scrubs.

~ Internally

Essential oils can also be used as nutritional supplements supporting a variety of many health concerns such as migraine and muscle relief or even digestive issues. Some essential oils have powerful antioxidant properties while others help support healthy inflammatory response in cells. Note: not all essential oils can be taken internally. Our favourite ways to use essential oils adding it to our water, smoothies and even flavouring baked goods.

The is so many amazing uses to essential oils in your life and in your home.  Natural health care solutions, like doTERRA’s CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils, are leading the way with better health care options in the homes of many.
