~ Store your nuts in the freezer to keep them fresh, and before using, toast them in the oven to bring out their flavors.
~ Don’t throw out your beet greens. They are highly nutritious, and are similar to spinach. Saute with a little oil and garlic.
~ Save and roast the seeds from your pumpkin or other squashes with a little oil, salt and pepper. They make a great snack, and they’re much healthier than chips or even nuts that are fried in oils.
~ Leftover wine can be frozen into ice cube trays for uses in sauces, soups, etc.
~ If using a hold lemon for its juice, before doing so, slice the rind off first. You can slice them into slivers to add to salads, soups, juices, etc. You can even freeze them for future juice.
